چکیده

Basic leucine zipper (bZIP) transcription factors (TFs) are ubiquitous in eukaryotes. Members of this family play significant roles the regulation plant growth, signal transduction, and various stresses. To date, bZIP TFs have been extensively studied plants, but there is little information about them Pinus massoniana Lamb. In study, 55 were identified based on data from four different P. transcriptomes, a systematic analysis was performed. According to phylogenetic results, divided into 11 groups. Each protein contained highly conserved domain, numbers types motifs similar same group. The PmbZIPs nuclear localization proteins. Based pine wood nematode inoculation transcriptome, transcriptional profiles revealed that 25 PmbZIP genes could respond nematodes at levels. Genes PmbZIP3, PmbZIP4, PmbZIP8, PmbZIP20, PmbZIP23 selected be upregulated process with nematodes. These five had expression levels tissues responsive related treatment conditions. Transcriptional activity showed PmbZIP3 PmbZIP8 activators; PmbZIP20 repressors. findings provide preliminary TFs, which helpful for further study other physiological functions massoniana.

Identification and characterization of the WRKY transcription factor family in Pinus monticola.

The WRKY gene family represents an ancient and highly complex group of transcription factors involved in signal transduction pathways of numerous plant developmental processes and host defense response. Up to now, most WRKY proteins have been identified in a few angiosperm species. Identification of WRKY genes in a conifer species would facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the evolutiona...

Distribution of elements in needles of Pinus massoniana (Lamb.) was uneven and affected by needle age.

Macronutrients (P, S, K, Na, Mg, Ca), heavy metals (Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu, Pb, Cr, Ni, Cd) and Al concentrations as well as values of Ca/Al in the tip, middle, base sections and sheaths of current year and previous year needles of Pinus massoniana from Xiqiao Mountain were analyzed and the distribution patterns of those elements were compared. The results indicated that many elements were unevenly dis...

Effect of Pinus massoniana Lamb. bark extract on lytic cycle of Epstein-Barr virus.

Pinus massoniana bark extract (PMBE) at a concentration of 60 microg/mL or more inhibits the expression of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) lytic proteins, such as Rta, Zta, and EA-D. EBV lytic cycle was blocked by inhibiting the transcription of immediate-early genes. The results suggest that the PMBE has anti-EBV activity. Thus, the extract is potentially useful in preventing the lytic development of...

Influences of species mixture on biomass of Masson pine (Pinus massoniana Lamb) forests.

The effect of tree diversity on productivity in subtropical forests in China is poorly understood. We investigated the biomasses of trees, understory vegetation, coarse roots, and fine roots with varying proportions of Pinus massoniana, mixed with other tree species in stands of the same age, to examine the effects of tree diversity. With an increase of P. massoniana proportion, the tree and un...

Bioinformatic Analyses of Subgroup-A Members of the Wheat bZIP Transcription Factor Family and Functional Identification of TabZIP174 Involved in Drought Stress Response

Extensive studies in Arabidopsis and rice have demonstrated that Subgroup-A members of the bZIP transcription factor family play important roles in plant responses to multiple abiotic stresses. Although common wheat (Triticum aestivum) is one of the most widely cultivated and consumed food crops in the world, there are limited investigations into Subgroup A of the bZIP family in wheat. In this ...
